For example, AddToAny supports a ton of placement options. You can place social media buttons at the top or bottom (or both) of your blog post.
Not only that, but the plugin also allows you to place social media buttons on your homepage, excerpts, and even on custom post types like courses and videos.
To select placements, you simply click the corresponding checkboxes. It’s a simple, convenient solution that impressed us during our testing.

The good news is that you can still use the free version of this plugin to automatically share content on social media after publishing a new post in WordPress.

While the free version is fairly limited, only allowing you to add a plain author box with some links to your social media profiles, you can unlock more advanced options in the paid version.
I like the top authors widget in the paid version. This widget can be added to your sidebar and displays a list of authors whose posts have received the most comments.
Overall, if you want to make your authors stand out more and include links to their social media profiles for added authenticity, Simple Author Box is a plugin worth having.

At the same time, Feed Them Social also has some limitations.
First, adding your feed to a post is a little complicated because you need to use a shortcode to embed it.
In Smash Balloon, this is a much easier process as it comes with a content block for embedding your feed.
Additionally, Feed Them Social doesn’t support oEmbeds, which means you can’t embed individual Facebook and Instagram posts by simply posting the URL.

While this plugin is highly customizable, I’m not a big fan of its user interface. Many of its settings are scattered across different sections of the main settings page. In contrast, Shareaholic offers a visual editor where you can customize everything about your button.
