Facebook has 1.59 billion monthly active users and if your brand is not yet on Facebook, then you are missing out on a lot of great opportunities. Facebook is one of the biggest marketing and branding tools and many brands completely depend on Facebook for their survival. Well, I am sure you already know these facts and that is why you are ready to create a Facebook page for your blog, existing business, new brand or upcoming startup.

Obviously, there are other uses for Facebook, which we’ve discussed at length in other articles, but for the purposes of today’s article, let’s get back to Facebook as a business enhancement tool:

Step-by-step tutorial: How to create a Facebook business page

Facebook fan pages help you build your brand, socialize, and send messages to all your blog or website fans. If you haven't created a Facebook fan page for your blog yet, create one now and enjoy taking your brand to the next level.

Select the page type:

Select Facebook Page Type

For example, if you need to create a fan page for a website or blog, select "Brand or Product" and then "Website" from the drop-down menu. Next, add your brand name. This isn't a vanity URL, but you can add a custom URL from your fan page later.

Click on "Get Started" and then add the details and choose an avatar for your fan page. I recommend using your official Gravatar, if you don't have a Gravatar you can always create one for your fan page that resembles your brand logo. Note: The maximum size of your Facebook fan page profile picture is 180*540 pixels.

Once you have uploaded your photos to your newly created Facebook Fan Page, Facebook will give you the option to invite your friends to join your Fan Page. If you wish, you can skip this step for now and come back to this feature later. On the next page add your website details and click "Continue". Once you are finished you will have a page that looks like this (see image below) where you can click "Like" and recommend others, as well as edit your Page settings.

How to edit your Facebook page settings:

Once you've learned how to create a Facebook fan page, it's time to learn how to edit your fan page. Take a look at this screenshot and you'll get a lot of ideas about the customization options for your Facebook fan page.

1) Fan Page Wall

Just like our Facebook profile, this is the wall of your Facebook fan page. You can use it to upload pictures, text, share links, ask questions, and upload videos. I recommend you use it in as creative a way as possible. In addition to using RSS Graffiti to post the latest posts to your fan page, I also recommend that you make an effort to ask interesting questions and engage users in conversation.

2-3) Edit fan page:

When you edit your Facebook fan page, you will be presented with the Facebook administrator management page, from which you can perform various additional actions related to the newly created fan page.

4) Use your page as a profile:

Not long ago, Facebook added a new feature for business Facebook pages that allows you to use Facebook as a personal profile. You can "like" other Facebook pages and post comments using your Facebook fan page name. You can't add other users to your Facebook profile, but from a branding perspective, you can use this feature effectively to expand your reach. You can participate in conversations and discussions, and if you're an expert, your answers will help you gain real fans.

5) Facebook fan page SEO optimization:

I won’t go into detail on how to optimize your Facebook page for SEO in this post, but it’s important to note that the “About” section acts as a meta description for search engines.

Therefore, you need to write your About section carefully to make it easier to rank for any keyword using your Facebook page.

Therefore, choose your name and the content of your About section carefully.
